Background and Discussion:

This agreement will provide ingress and egress, construction activities on Montgomery County owned property for the two wet-bottom detention basins construction on property owned by the Flood Control District in Montgomery County, Texas. This adjacent property owned by Montgomery County is critical for easy access, construction and maintenance of the proposed detention basins

Expected Impact:

This agreement will allow the Flood Control District to use the property owned by Montgomery property for ingress, egress, construction access and mutual beneficial flood infrastructure improvements. The project seeks to reduce flood risks and strengthen resiliency in the San Jacinto watershed by achieving 100- channel level of service by improving Taylor Gully HCFCD Unit G103-80-03.1.

Alternative Options:

The alternative to approving this item would be to not have an agreement with Montgomery County, which would result in significant redesign and delays in detention basin construction and increased costs.
