title
Request by the Office of the Purchasing Agent for approval of an award on the basis of best proposal meeting requirements to LMC Corporation in the amount of $3,998,672 for replacement of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system at Cullen Blvd. (Annex 14) for Precinct 1 and for the County Clerk to execute any applicable bonds to be received (250178), MWBE Contracted Goal: 7.687%.
end
Background and Discussion:
The HVAC system at Annex 14 has reached its end of useful life and needs to be replaced. Project location is in the southeastern part of Harris County. As a result of the improvements, attendees and staff will have a safer and more comfortable environment at Annex 14.
Expected Impact:
Completion of this project will increase the reliability of the building’s HVAC system. This project will also prevent catastrophic HVAC failure and disruption of service.
Alternative Options:
The system is currently operating and could be maintained in that capacity; however, it is old and prone to
breaking down. If the system breaks down, parts are no longer available for its repair due to the age of the
equipment.
