Background and Discussion:

Consultant is the On-Call Professional Services provider for the Countywide Emergency Outfall Repairs and Replacement program, and the services include civil and drainage design.  Due to increases in the number of emergency repairs requested and professional services needed therein, additional funding will be needed to maintain the level of service to Harris County across the increased number of projects.  Major weather events have potential to increase the number of failed outfalls that require repair.

Expected Impact:

Maintains the ability to provide the current level of emergency repair and related professional services through supplemental design, construction oversight, and construction oversight services.

Alternative Options:

If no action is taken, repairs will need to be addressed as single projects and increase more bid processes and make the repairs last months that are currently being addressed in approximately a month or two dependent on material.
