Background and Discussion:

The overall goal of this program is to increase effective enforcement and adjudication of traffic safety-related laws to reduce fatal and serious injury crashes and increase occupant restraint use in all passenger vehicles and trucks.

 

Expected Impact:

A reduction in crashes, fatalities, and injuries related to impaired driving is expected, aligning with the county’s strategic goals to make Harris County safer and more just. The grant period for this award is October 1, 2026 - September 30, 2027.
