Background and Discussion:

The Harris County Toll Road Authority (HCTRA) mission is to responsibly operate and maintain a safe, reliable,

sustainable, and evolving mobility system that meets the diverse connectivity needs of all Harris County

residents. This Fiber Maintenance contract renewal will allow repair, replacement, and installation of HCTRA’s

fiber optic cable network where toll transactions flow, and roadway CCTV cameras and Dynamic Message

Signs (DMS) for HCTRA's Incident Management Center.

Expected Impact:

This Fiber Maintenance contract will help minimize system outage time associated with fiber breaks, therefore

allowing toll transactions to reach our main data center, and minimize communication outages on CCTV

cameras and DMS signs in support of public information and safety.
