Background and Discussion:

On May 16, 2023, Commissioners Court approved an award to Tyler Technologies, Inc. for an electronic citation system. Universal Services is requesting approval for the annual maintenance and support of the system for the term beginning November 16, 2025 through November 15, 2026.

The electronic citation system enables automated issuance of citations which:

•                     allows for a reduction in the time required for deputies to issue citations,

•                     increases the legibility of completed citation forms,

•                     reduces the administrative errors associated with processing, and

•                     captures electronic signatures and various images.

Expected Impact:

Continued maintenance and support of e-citations system used by various law enforcement agencies.
