Background and Discussion:

In February of 2022, Harris County's Contractor inadvertently removed a Harris County Water Control Independent District 1's sanitary sewer line from Harris County Right of Way during construction of the Crosby Lynchburg Road Phase 4 Reconstruction Project. The Right of Way area is currently crowded with other utilities to reinstall a new sanitary sewer line and keep 4 ft. away from an existing water line as required by code.  Hence, there is a need to purchase an easement for the new sanitary sewer line that Harris County will install once the easement is obtained.

Expected Impact:
This replacement sanitary sewer line will provide required sanitary service connections to two properties adjacent to the project.

Alternative Options:
If this sanitary sewer line is not replaced the two properties adjacent to the project will not be viable for business or residential use without a sanitary sewer connection.
