Background and Discussion:
The project includes reconstruction of the existing 2-lane asphalt roadway to a 4-lane concrete pavement section with appropriate drainage system within a 100-foot Right-of-Way.
This change in contract includes the following:
• Addition of 75 days to allow for the construction of a 3-foot-thick clay liner in the proposed detention basin in accordance with the requirements by the Harris County Flood Control District.
• The cost of installation of 2 - 4 section signal head on West Rayford Road and Gosling Road intersection (East Bound Lane). ($7,141.30 - Lump sum)
• The final adjustment which includes the (reconciliation of actual quantities used in construction against the bid quantities). Total = (-$464,427.75)
Expected Impact:
This action allows unused funds to be returned to Harris County and allows the Contractor to be compensated, and to complete the work.
