Background and Discussion:
The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) developed a State Flood Plan based on the adopted regional plans, on September 1, 2024, and every five years thereafter. The San Jacinto Regional Flood Planning Group (SJRFPG) is one of the 15 Regional Flood Planning Groups formed by the TWDB and includes Harris County. The Flood Control District position on the SJRPFG has been recently vacated by a previous employee of the Flood Control District, and therefore the position is now open. The SJRFPG will post a call for nominees for the position, and the Flood Control District recommends that Marcus Stuckett, Executive Director of the Harris County Flood Control District, be nominated to serve as a voting member for Flood Districts for the San Jacinto Regional Flood Planning Group and the nomination of Gary Bezemek as an alternate.
