Background and Discussion:
Harris County Commissioners Court previously approved the Annual Action Plans (AAP). The Annual Action Plans, which are a consolidation of the Community Development Block Grants (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG). The following CDBG Funded projects are being amended:
2024 CDBG Funding:
• Project 2024-001 Harris County Housing and Community Development-Administration.
o Obligate $1,628,219.46 in CDBG Program Income. Total project Entitlement funding, including previously awarded amounts, will be $4,664,433.66.
• Project 2024-005 Harris County Housing and Community Development- Public Facilities and Improvements Program (Countywide).
o Obligate $3,256,438.90 in CDBG Program Income. Total project Entitlement funding, including previously awarded amounts, will be $11,234.135.05.
• Project 2024-009 Harris County Housing and Community Development- Multi-Family Housing Program (Countywide).
o Obligate $3,256,438.93 in CDBG Program Income. Total project Entitlement funding, including previously awarded amounts, will be $3,570,108.93.
Expected Impact:
Approval of this item allows Harris County Housing and Community Development Department to add CDBG program income to the 2024 Annual Action Plan to support Harris County HCHCD’s infrastructure and housing projects.
