Background and Discussion:
This Amendment No. 2 will provide for construction phase tasks, including responding to submittals and requests for information, attending monthly progress meetings and bi-weekly update meetings, performing periodic site visits, and completing the necessary pre- and post-construction surveys of the site. The project includes the construction of a wet-bottom detention basin on District-owned property along Little Cypress Creek in an existing stormwater detention basin complex. The project is bounded by Preece Court on the northwest, Wynmar Lane on the northeast, an existing stormwater detention basin on the southeast, and Longwood Trace and Little Cypress Creek on the southwest.
Expected Impact:
The Kluge Stormwater Detention Basin - Phase 3 project will construct 210 acre-feet of detention which will provide flood mitigation and general flood risk reduction benefits to residents in Harris County.
Alternative Options:
The alternative to approving this item would be that the District may forfeit state and federal funds allocated for the construction of this project.
