Background and Discussion:
Harris County needs qualified vendors to provide mobile and portable Project P25 (P25) single and multi-band subscriber radios for operation on Harris County’s P25 “TXWARN” radio system. These subscribers will be purchased by and used by all of Harris County’s first responders as well as various other Harris County Departments in the course of their duties. The Subscribers acquired will be provisioned and maintained by Universal Services.
Expected Impact:
This will allow Harris County communication by user Departments. This includes the ability of first responders to have command and control of incidents, as well as interoperate with surrounding jurisdictions.
