Background and Discussion:

The Aldine Village Subdivision is in north Harris County, between I-45 and Hardy Toll Road, in the Halls Bayou

Watershed. The subdivision is served by roadside ditches and culverts. Factors, such as flat topography, have

resulted in low capacity of the roadside ditches and sediment buildup within the ditches and culverts. The scope of work for this project is to install improved and up-sized drainage infrastructure for mitigation. The easements to be acquired is to allow the storm sewer culverts to connect to the outfall structure required for mitigation.

Expected Impact:

Construction phase services by the Engineer of Record supports construction team with technical advice and quality assurance. The fiscal impact for this project will come from the 1080 Fund for the Recovery and Resiliency Division subdivision projects with the long-term goal of reducing drainage cost in the future. No impact to project schedule or staffing anticipated.

Alternative Options:

If no action is taken, the engineer of record will not be accessible for support through the construction of the project.
