As recommended by the ARPA Steering Committee, these reallocations were based on the review of FLEX and ARPA Interest-funded projects with funding capacity for potential reallocation. The ARPA Steering Committee originally recommended a reallocation of up to $5,624,299.21 to support the Fiscal Year 2027 General Fund budget. Additionally, on June 11, Commissioners Court approved a motion directing OMB to include a proposal to increase funding in Domestic Violence Assistance Fund (DVAF) by $900,000 for Fiscal Year 2027 and an additional $900,000 in Fiscal Year 2028, using up to $1.8 million in re-allocated funds.
This item requests approval to reallocate an additional $772,170.00 from the project below, as recommended by the ARPA Steering Committee. If Commissioners Court chooses to reallocate these funds for FY 2027 General Fund support, the July 9, 2026, Court is the last date that would allow sufficient time for the Early Childhood Initiative in the Department Economic Equity and Opportunity to execute the necessary steps for the reallocation.
