Background and Discussion:
Precinct 3 is requesting the Office of the County Engineer to enter into an agreement for professional engineering services to provide the study and design for Foley Road from FM 2100 to West of Golf Club Drive (0.85 miles). Foley Road will be a 4-lane concrete boulevard in a 90 +/- RoW with a 22' raised median and underground storm sewer system. The full boulevard will be considered for the study phase with sidewalks to be determined. The trunkline shall be located within the median unless site conditions prohibit it. Roadside ditches behind back of curb are not preferred.
Expected Impact:
This agreement will allow the firm to proceed with Study and Design for road improvements.
Alternative Options:
The alternative is for the roadway to remain as-is, without improving the roadway within the specified limits.
