Background and Discussion:

Construction of 10’ wide trail along Fairmont Parkway from Armand Bayou Hike and Bike Trailhead to Red Bluff Drive, with a pedestrian bridge at Armand Bayou (B100-00-00). Proposed trail includes upgraded audio pedestrian signals, crosswalks, and ramps at signalized intersections at Center Street and Red Bluff Drive.

The budget variances across the project resulted from a mix of effective resource management, value engineering, and strategic procurement that led to cost savings in some areas, while necessary scope adjustments, unforeseen site conditions, and regulatory compliance requirements caused certain items to exceed their budgeted amounts. This change will deduct -$79,898.46.

Expected Impact:

Deduct the total cost for the contract.

Alternative Options:

No action will result in substandard construction.
