Background and Discussion:
This agreement will allow for excavation and removal of a basin within the eastern section of the inactive Bear Creek Golf Course. This will allow for additional storage within the Addicks Watershed. This excavation and removal project has been approved by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Expected Impact:
Execution of this agreement will allow the Flood Control District to excavate materials from the project site, thus providing additional storage volume in the reservoir.
Alternative Options:
The alternative would be to put this request out to bid, which would result in much higher costs to the taxpayer.
