Request by the Sheriff’s Office for approval to accept an amendment to an agreement with the Office of National Drug Control Policy to modify the award total to $1,147,323.80 and extend the end date to December 31, 2024 for the FY 2022 HIDTA Program.

Background and Discussion:
Commissioners Court accepted the FY2022 HIDTA award on July 19, 2022. The first modification was approved by Commissioners Court on August 23, 2022 decreasing the award by $19,100.00. The second modification was approved by Commissioners Court on November 15, 2022 increasing the award by $270,000 for the payment of AT&T Data Analytics Services. The third modification was approved by Commissioners Court on August 29, 2023 increased by $10,000 for the new ET - Overdose Response Investigations Squad Initiative for the Harris County District Attorney’s Office to cover overtime funds. This decrease of $134,054 will reduce the grant of any unexpended funds which will be moved to other HIDTA initiatives within Harris County.

There will be no impact to the general fund budget. No required match for this grant.
