Background and Discussion:
Harris County Resources for Children and Adults will provide review and approval of potential adoptive families for children in the foster care system. This review and approval process is intended to identify the best possible adoptive placement.
Expected Impact:
Budget for the annual renewals will be presented to Court separately. The contract builds in a $64,800 annual budget.
Alternative Options:
The Pre-Adopt Review and Approval Services serves the child welfare system by ensuring that a qualified, independent entity reviews a case file with a view to determine which of the pre-adopt families who have had home studies would be the most appropriate match for a particular child.
