Background and Discussion:

A Facilities Extension Agreement was approved in Commissioners Court on 1/9/24 with CenterPoint Energy to relocate a power pole in conflict with planned work along P130-09-00-X009 to repair areas of erosion, slope failures and desilt. It is now necessary to add a Service Outlet Location and Data Statement to the agreement.

No additional funding is anticipated.

Expected Impact:

If this agreement is not moved forward, the Flood Control District will not be able to proceed with the planned rehabilitation project as designed. Restoring the channel back to the original design capacity will protect the public and public infrastructure by allowing for the proper conveyance of water. The repairs will also reduce the risk of flooding in the future.

Alternative Options:

There are no alternate options as CenterPoint is the only entity we can deal with in these matters.
