Request for approval of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Community Volunteer Fire Department (CVFD) to provide tactical emergency medical support as needed during critical incidents.

Background and Discussion:
The HCSO does not currently have a tactical medical program for the SWAT team and relies upon local emergency medical services during critical incidents. The CVFD will provide tactical medical resources upon request at no cost.
Expected Impact:
This project will enhance the medical support provided to the HCSO on critical incidents.
Alternative Options:
Shall this not be approved, the HCSO SWAT and Bomb units will have to rely on local emergency medical services to continue to respond to critical incidents without the same tactical and medical training as CVFD.
