Background and Discussion:

The corridor currently lacks adequate pedestrian infrastructure, limiting safe access to nearby community amenities such as the White Oak Bayou Trail and Bane Park. The proposed project will deliver 3.4 miles of sidewalk, along west of Gessner Road from Beltway 8 to Litter York Road.  The scope also includes the installation of traffic signals if warranted and street lighting to support safe multimodal access along the corridor.

Expected Impact:

Provide enhanced mobility for pedestrians within Gessner Road Area.
