Background and Discussion:
Sec. 152.031 of the Local Government Code provides that the District Judges set the County Auditor’s annual salary, the auditor’s travel expenses and other allowances, and that order must be recorded in the minutes of the District Courts. The Board of District Judges met on August 25, 2026, and approved the Auditor’s budget request for the fiscal year period ending September 30, 2027. The certified copy of the foregoing document is being transmitted to Commissioners Court for information.
