Background and Discussion:

Maternal Mental Health participants include individuals across the fertility spectrum: individuals who are trying to become pregnant, navigating antepartum care, grieving loss after pregnancy, and expressing interest in mental health support connected to birthing and postpartum care. Christie’s Family Health will provide in-home psychotropic medication treatment options, which include but are not limited to psychiatric evaluation/assessment and psychotropic medication evaluation/management.

Expected Impact:

This contract allows access to psychiatric evaluation and virtual care options for birthing persons as well as their entire family unit to bring about holistic healing to those involved. The Maternal Mental Health initiative aims to improve the accessibility of comprehensive maternal mental healthcare for birthing persons and modern families within Harris County.
