Request that the County Judge execute a Cross Conveyance and Correction Special Warranty Deed for Harris County Flood Control District, a political subdivision of the State of Texas and the County of Harris, a body politic and corporate under the laws of the State of Texas for the public project known as Treaschwig Rd A (Phase 1)-from 1,000 ft West of Aldine Westfield Rd to West of Cypress Creek, tract numbers 1, 2 & 3, UPIN 14104MF08X01, Precinct 3.

Background and Discussion:
The Flood Control District conveyed 12.12 acres to Harris County out of a previously acquired 15.21 acres. The parcels were intended to support the construction of the Treaschwig Road detention basin and a future parking lot and small trailhead.
The original detention basin layout for Treaschwig Road Phase 1 changed due to Atlas 14 rainfall data as well as an increased requirement for floodplain fill mitigation. The change in the basin footprint resulted in a need for additional property beyond what was originally conveyed from the Flood Control District to Harris County. Therefore in 2024, an additional 12.9 acres were conveyed from the Flood Control District to Harris County to construct the detention basin.
Now, as Harris County has completed construction of the detention basin, the detention basin property and the connecting driveway area is to be conveyed from Harris County to Harris County Flood Control District.
Expected Impact:
This conveyance of the detention basin property will allow the Flood Control District to access and maintain the detention basin.
Alternative Options:
If no action is taken, the Flood Control District will not be able to access and maintain the detention basin.
