Background and Discussion:

Harris County Precinct 4’s Hockley Area requires the services of an external vendor to provide mowing and other related maintenance activities for road right-of-way maintained by Harris County. This is a Renewable term contract for mowing various roads in Precinct 4 as needed basis (Hockley Zone).  Precinct requested additional roadways to be added to the original scope.  An increase in existing bid item will accommodate this request. The existing bid item to be increased is the following:

Item#1 (Maintenance of Right-of-Way with roadside ditch for various roads in precinct 4, including mowing, weed eating, S.E.T.'s and Structures, removal of debris, (8 cycles, 8 visits, paid per side of roadway).

Expected Impact:

Changes will allow for the addition of existing item quantities to the contract so the project can be completed in accordance with the original intent.

Existing bid item #1 (Maintenance of Right-of-Way with roadside ditch for various roads in precinct 4, including mowing, weed eating, S.E.T.'s and Structures, removal of debris, (8 cycles, 8 visits, paid per side of roadway.

Existing items quantity: 1104 mil x $235/mil = $259,440.00

Additional quantity requested:  132 mil x $235/mil = $31,020.00

New Total quantity: 1236 mil x $235/mil = $290,460.00
