Background and Discussion:

The POD will provide a welcoming and comfortable space for all individuals who may require lactation or
wellness facilities, whether they are employees or members of the public visiting the Congress Plaza Law Library. The need for such spaces has been recognized as crucial to maintaining and promoting the wellness of mothers who are breastfeeding. The POD would be installed at the Congress Plaza Law Library located at 1910 Congress St.  This POD is additional to the three (3) PODS donated to Harris County on February 19, 2024.

 

Expected Impact:

The POD will provide a comfortable, private and secure space for mothers who are breastfeeding.

 

Alternative Options:

Temporary areas could possibly be designated for lactation space.
