Background and Discussion:
DEEO continues to provide and expand community outreach, including events such as community-based meetings, outreach programs, conferences, and initiatives to reach community small business enterprises and other local businesses. DEEO’s goal to continue expansion will require additional funds for light refreshments, food, and related items. The items will be purchased between October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2026.
Expected Impact:
This approval will allow DEEO the opportunity to continue outreach events for small business enterprises and other local businesses and expand opportunities to connect and engage with the community.
Alternative Options:
Commissioners Court can choose not to approve this request; failure to approve can negatively impact engagement as ensuring outreach opportunities are appropriately funded for food, light refreshments, and related items strengthens their impact.
