Background and Discussion:
Per the agreement and amendment, Harris County agreed to contribute up to a maximum of $10,000,000 for the reconstruction of Lockwood Road to a 4-lane concrete boulevard section, and to fund 50% of the costs up to a maximum of $360,000 for UPRR crossing improvements. The reconstruction was completed in 2016 from North Lake Houston Parkway to approximately 400 feet south of UPRR crossing, with the construction cost of $9,819,300.05. The 400 feet roadway has not been constructed due to the UPRR crossing issue. It is necessary to terminate the agreement and amendment as agreed by both parties.
Expected Impact:
This action will terminate the agreement and allow McCord to refund Harris County in the amount of $170,559.77.
