Background and Discussion:
Harris County Public Health (HCPH) serves as the Health and Medical Liaison and supports public health response for chemical, biological, radiation and nuclear (CBRN) incidents. The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Public Health (UTHSC) subject matter expertise in the assistance of HCPH's ability to respond to an unintentional chemical release, radiological, nuclear, or chemical-biological (Chem-Bio) agent incident.
Expected Impact:
Having the ability to utilize subject matter experts from UTHSC will allow for HCPH to readily assess public health impacts from a CBRN incident.
