Background and Discussion: On November 14th, 2023 the Harris County Sheriff’s Office accepted a grant award from the Office of the Governor/Criminal Justice Division. This purchase will allow the Sherriff’s Office to purchase breaching kits to supports the departments five patrol districts.
Expected Impact: This purchase would allow the Harris County Sheriff’s Office to utilize the grant funds to purchase breaching kits that will provide deputies the ability to breach doors in exigent circumstances or medical emergencies.
