Background and Discussion:
This Interlocal Agreement (ILA) replaces an existing ILA that expired on June 8, 2024, for a planning study that includes analysis of a potential upstream Spring Creek partnership stormwater detention project with the San Jacinto River Authority (SJRA) as the lead agency for the study. Initial work performed under this ILA shows benefits to Harris County residents from the Spring Creek improvements under investigation. This Interlocal Agreement will extend the time granted to the San Jacinto River Authority to complete the work.
Expected Impact:
This will replace the expired ILA with a new ILA that has an extended duration, which will allow the study to be completed. e
Alternative Options:
The alternative would be to not approve the new ILA, the, which would halt work on this study.
