Background and Discussion:

The Sunburst Summer Arts Camp runs from June 8-July 31, 2026. Students from grades K-9 are treated to a full-day (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) of immersive programming, featuring daily free lunch and specialized instruction in theater, music, dance, and visual arts for underserved communities.

The Main Street Theater invited all 120 campers to the MATCH for a viewing of The True Story of the Three Little Pigs.

Expected Impact:

Providing transportation ensures equitable access for Houston area students. This trip will provide an in-person, full sensory experience that focuses on the holistic well-being of students through instruction in visual and performing arts.

Alternative Options: Without court approval, students may need to rely on personal transportation, which could limit participation-particularly for underserved communities.
