Background and Discussion:
Harris County Permits is requesting utilities to be placed within the ROW of Mathis Road. However, since there is no information yet about the ultimate final ROW and roadway alignment of Mathis Road, the utilities are being proposed in public ROW and Permits is requesting an agreement for the owner/operator to relocate the utilities once Mathis Road is expanded in the future.
Expected Impact:
The developer will be able to construct the utilities in the existing ROW of Mathis Road with the acknowledgment that the owner and operator will relocate the utilities once Mathis Road is expanded in the future.
Alternative Options:
There are no alternatives in delivering the project without the location of utilities in public ROW.
