Background and Discussion:
Precinct 3, in partnership with the Barrett Economic Community Development (BEDCO) has requested for the Professional Programming and Cost Estimate Services for a new Community Recreational Facility near 808 Magnolia Drive, Crosby, TX. North of Riley Chambers Park on a site bound by the US90/ Crosby Freeway feeder. The Community Recreational Facility will serve as a gym featuring convertible basketball/volleyball courts and administrative spaces.
Expected Impact:
This project seeks to establish a Community Recreational Facility that promotes physical health by providing a nearby and public covered space where residents can engage in sports and use basketball and volleyball courts.
Alternative Options:
If this court action is not approved, the community will be left without a nearby covered public basketball and volleyball court, requiring residents to travel farther to access these facilities.
