Background and Discussion:

This partnership project will address flooding problems identified within the College Park subdivision neighborhood, which has reported repetitive flood losses in several homes from separate rainfall events. The proposed project, which entails storm sewer system improvements, ROW and easement acquisition, and a new detention basin. The amendment to the interlocal agreement will provide funding for additional design services related alternatives evaluation, as well as support completion of the project.

Expected Impact:

Proposed improvements are intended to allow for passable roadways and alleviate flooding from structures within the neighborhood during the 2- and 100-year rainfall events, respectively.

Alternative Options:

Not to participate in the cost-sharing which would delay the realization of benefits for the area.
