Project Description:
The Channelview Foundation of Hope (formerly the East Harris County Health and Social Services Hub) is a Harris County facility located at 15430 East Fwy, Channelview, TX 77530.
The project will install a six-foot metal fence with barbed wire, privacy slats, and rolling gates at the Channelview Foundation of Hope and install six-foot-tall chain link fencing with a maintenance access gate around the detention pond.

Justification & Alternatives:
Installing a fence with gated vehicular access is critical to secure the site after hours and prevent loitering and potential illegal dumping of unauthorized items. The detention pond requires fencing also because there is always standing water in the pond, and this is a liability as it’s near a community. The newly constructed Channelview Foundation of Hope needs to be secured to prevent trespassing and theft after hours.
