Background and Discussion:
This is a Term Contract for Infrastructure Repairs. The project work orders will focus to Desilt Outfalls or Storm Sewer Systems from 12” to 84” diameter pipe (CMP or RCP) or the equivalent cross-sectional area of concrete box culverts (max. 4’ height) for sites located throughout Harris County, Texas. The intent of this Contract is to establish a means for conducting priority repair work orders to unplug Outfalls or Storm Sewer Systems, which may be either pipes or box culverts (max.4’ height). Work will consist of removing blockages within either pipes or box culverts only, as the upstream and downstream conditions will be prepared by HCFCD.
Expected Impact:
HCFCD will use this Term Contact to supply the District with a specialty service to unplug outfalls to the channels. Unplugging blocked outfalls to the channels relieves backwater flooding in neighborhoods.
Alternative Options:
No award will prevent the District from having this specialty service to unplug outfalls or storm sewer systems.
