Background and Discussion:
Public Health Services is seeking approval to create one new position (TB Epidemiology Investigator) to aim Harris County’s efforts to eliminate Tuberculosis, by ensuring thorough investigations following the identification of infectious TB cases. The TB Contact Investigator plays a crucial role by delivering field services to patients who are not able to travel, significantly enhancing our capacity to provide timely and effective care.
Expected Impact:
