title

Request for approval of nine positions effective September 21, 2024 to in-source the HCTRA call center in-house.

end

Background and Discussion:

On May 24, 2022, Harris County Commissioners Court ordered the Office of County Administrator, Commissioners Court Analyst Office, County Attorney, Universal Services, and any other relevant department to develop an in-house collection plan. The call collections center was initially outsourced to HCTRA to facilitate operations and save the County funds. The County Attorney’s Office has determined that is more cost effective to in-source the call center operations. These positions are necessary to provide adequate support to the County Attorney’s Office Property Tax Division call center operation. No additional funding is being requested.

Expected Impact:

These positions will allow the County Attorney’s Office to staff the Court approved in-sourcing of the Property Tax Division.
