Request by the Sheriff’s Office for approval to rollover the balances for the Auto Theft Federal Funds and the Motor Vehicle Crime Prevention Authority (MVCPA) Grant Program Income Funds in the total amount of $93,951.97 from the FY 2024-2025 grant year into the FY 2025-2026 grant year.

Background and Discussion:

MVCPA requires that the unexpended grant program income balance be rolled over from grant year to grant year.

Expected Impact:

There is no fiscal impact on the county budget.  These are unexpended Auto Theft’s federal funds and grant program income balances that need to be rolled over from the former grant year’s PeopleSoft coding to the new grant year’s PeopleSoft coding.

Alternative Options:

These funds must be rolled over into the new grant year.
