Background and Discussion:
Construction of 10-foot-wide trail along Fairmont Parkway from Armand Bayou Hike and Bike Trailhead to Red Bluff Drive, with a pedestrian bridge at Armand Bayou (B100-00-00). Proposed trail includes upgraded audio pedestrian signals, crosswalks, and ramps at signalized intersections at Center Street and Red Bluff Drive.
Bid Item #023 conflicts with the construction plans by specifying a 6-inch HES thickness for the driveway while the plans clearly indicate a required 10-inch concrete slab. As confirmed by the engineer, the discrepancy is due to an error in the bid item and does not reflect the project design. This change will add additional amount of $20,356.90 and no additional days.
