Background and Discussion:

In response to the destruction wrought by Hurricane Harvey that underscored critical shortages in Harris County’s inventory of affordable homes, Harris County’s Single Family New Construction Program (SFNC) matches individuals and families with opportunities to purchase new affordable homes in growing development throughout the County. Riner Engineeering Inc. will provide construction materials testing to support the project in construction.

 

Expected Impact:

This agreement will allow the firm to conduct field and laboratory testing on soil, concrete, asphalt, and various other construction materials to ensure the materials compliance with Harris County Engineering Departments adopted standards and specifications as required by state law.
