Request for approval to decree that the Harris County Flood Control District project serves a public purpose and public necessity, which requires that the Harris County Real Property Division be directed to acquire 3 fee simple tracts and 2 drainage easements tracts for the public project known as Little Cypress Creek Sub-Regional Frontier Program, for the purpose of channel improvements, authorizing eminent domain if necessary (Little Cypress Creek Watershed, Bond ID F-26, Project ID L100-00-00-E003, Precinct 3).

Background and Discussion:
These acquisitions will acquire drainage easements and 220’ of drainage channel required to facilitate construction of off-site drainage from Grant Road south to L113-00-00 to L100-00-00 for the Harris County Engineering Department (HCED) Grant Road Segment 4 - from Cypress Rose Hill Road to Telge Road project.
Expected Impact:
This drainage project will serve the needs of the Little Cypress Creek project channel conveyance improvements and facilitate the construction of the Harris County Engineering Department (HCED) Grant Road Segment 4 from Cypress Rosehill Road to Telge Road project.
Alternative Options:
No approval will mean Little Cypress Creek channel conveyance improvements will not proceed, and the Harris County Grant Road Segment 4 from Cypress Rosehill to Telge Road project will not proceed, as agreed by inter-local agreement.
