Background and Discussion:

The request will allow Harris County to initiate both the study and design phase with MBCO Engineering LLC to provide professional engineering services for assessment and improvements along major roadways within HC MUD 102 for existing pedestrian mobility and drainage conditions.

Expected Impact:

This project would expedite assessments of the existing mobility and drainage conditions along the roadways; followed by developing improvement to address the safety, mobility, and capacity specific to each location to provide safer travel for pedestrians.

Alternative Options:

If no action is taken, the safety and mobility benefits associated with the proposed improvements will not be achieved, thereby depriving residents and pedestrians of the enhancements these improvements are intended to provide.
