Background and Discussion:

This trip will support 38 National Art Honor Society students from Alief ISD’s Kerr High School to participate in the annual Texas Adopt-A-Beach Coastwide Fall Cleanup at Stahlman Park on September 19, 2027. During the trip, students will work together in groups to collect and recycle trash and microplastics from designated areas along Surfside Beach.

 

Expected Impact:

This trip will benefit students in learning about the importance of conservation and how they can play an active role in preserving local habitats and wildlife through engaging in a meaningful community service initiative.
