Background and Discussion:

This project consists of roadway reconstruction of Porter Rd beginning approximately 270’ north of Morton Ranch Rd and ends approximately 545’ south of Clay Rd. Porter Rd will be reconstructed from an existing two-lane asphalt road with roadside ditches to a four-lane concrete curb and gutter boulevard with storm sewer system, properly sloped driveways. Overall, the project enhances transportation and safety within the project limits and reduces the traffic congestion in Northwest Katy

Awarding the contract will allow the recommended bidder to proceed with construction. Project is needed to meet the traffic demand and reduces the traffic congestion in Northwest Katy
