Background and Discussion:

HCTRA is looking to procure professional services to support evaluation of existing and future transportation conditions in the northeast area of Harris County.  The selected vendor would provide support for potential opportunities to address the economic development in this area of the county.

Expected Impact:

The study will evaluate critical regional transportation links supporting commercial vehicle movements, freight distributions, emergency response, and economic development. Continued population growth and increased traffic demand require feasibility studies to provide technical analysis to support future needs of the region.

Alternative Options:

No other recommended option for this identified need.

County Strategic Plan Goal:  2. Connect our community with safe, reliable, equitably distributed, and well-maintained infrastructure.
