Background and Discussion:
Commissioners Court approved to rescind existing award and re-advertise on June 25, 2024. Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) concurred with rescinding and re-advertisement of the project.
On August 26, 2024, four submissions were received and evaluated. One bidder withdrew their bid. On the basis of low bid for base bid plus alternates 1 through 5 inclusive, award is recommended to Times Construction, Inc in the amount of $21,575,953.
As the project has received grant funds from Federal Highway Administration and TxDOT, the MWDBE has been coordinated with TxDOT.
Expected Impact:
This project will remove the current ferry operations building and construct a new operations and maintenance building with an attached maintenance warehouse for increase efficiency and safety of operations an maintenance.
