Background and Discussion:

There are currently no pedestrian facilities along Red Bluff Road between Park Bend Lane and 1st Baptist Drive. The lack of a sidewalk limits safe access to the First Baptist Church of Pasadena and Christian Academy. Residents have requested improved pedestrian connectivity along this corridor. The Interlocal Agreement will allow the City to design and construct the sidewalk per County standards. The project will address safety concerns and enhance community access

Expected Impact:

The project will improve pedestrian safety and connectivity along Red Bluff Road. It will also enhance walkability while establishing a long-term maintenance plan between the City and Harris County.

Alternative Options:

The alternative option for this proposal would be not to enter into the agreement and seek other options.
